Her Salt Lying Between

Characters.png

Her Salt Lying Between is about a teenage girl who falls for someone who’s emotionally abusive, but ends up finding another girl who’s supportive and healthy for her, only to end up being as toxic as her abuser. It’s about showing the uglier parts of lesbian relationships that aren’t as spoken about.

It’s easy for queer women to fall into toxic relationships when the pool of partners for us is so limited. When you’ve conquered struggles to get together, and it’s rare to find another person interested in the same sex, sometimes you settle. Even if the relationship isn’t the healthiest.

Don’t settle for less, you deserve better.

Cherry's Secret

Cherry's Secret is a storybook made to educate children on how to look out for predators and what to do if they experience sexual harassment/abuse. The second objective is to inform parents on how to deal with their child being abused and what resources they can use in case it happens.

Alongside the story will be statistics and infographics about how widespread abuse and grooming towards children is, such as how much more common abuse/harassment is from family, friends or teachers, rather than complete strangers.

It will teach kids to speak up on anything they feel weird or wrong about, and that the predatory treatment by an older person is never their fault. It will also teach the difference between playful touching and inappropriate touching, and to set boundaries.

Every child has a right to have a happy childhood.

Wai Bother Zine

Wai Bother is an animation and zine about how our daily lives will be impacted because the weather will continue to get hotter, making life difficult for those who can’t afford air-conditioners or need to work outdoors in the hot sun. Floods will get more frequent, due to rising sea levels and Singapore being a coastal city. Food shortages will also become a reality as countries are unable to transport their goods to our country and growing crops and livestock becomes difficult under intense weather conditions.

While there might not to be much one individual can do to improve climate change’s catastrophic effects on the planet, people do not have to do it alone. By building communities that encourage sustainable lifestyles and mindful consumption, folks can do their part in making other people’s time on Earth less stressful and more rewarding while creating a greener Earth.

The Earth is our only home. If we can’t take care of it, how can we take care of ourselves?
